Well, look like Im out a piston ring or two on the 2.

Erratic idle, smoke from the breather filter on boost.

Ah well, never worry - means I can now rebuild with the 2.2 stroker kit I have been promising myself for the past few months

Just after doing a compression test - no 4 has zero, so thats either a totally bollocksed piston, or valve damage.

This is gonna get expensive fast!

£100 for exhaust and £100 for a set of inlet valves for starters - might as well replace the lot with 1mm oversize. So thats head work as well as bore honing.

Most people would give up and buy another engine...
