I just thought it was quite interesting that we had access to check anyones insurance.

There is a van near where I live which has been there for ages. I looked in the windscreen and the tax ran out September 06, so when I found that site I checked its insurance as well, and it doesnt have any!

Apparently this is tied in to the same db that the police use for their checks.

I suppose they do have the disclaimer. Both my cars are insured, and they should be I pay them each month!!

I wonder how long itd take to find a car that wasnt insured on the open road using this site...

Mine "is on the Motor Insurance Database today." Thats all it says, but its reassuring. Im tempted to go through the cars on the street but wont.
