Is it possible to get a cool family car that isn't poncy like the Mini Countryman or a bit too quirky like the Nissan Juke for around £15-17.5k?

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Lotus Carlton

Nice idea, but   :o mpg and insurance group  :gag:

Don't like Vauxhalls tbh and they don't seem to hold any value.

Scoobys aren't my cuppa tea, but the new one is growing on me

Audi, VW are ok but not exactly interesting..

Did you consider Ex Demo's etc, some nice cars around with delivery/demonstrator mileage, 2011 plates as well but significant savings.

You also have Fleet deals on brand new cars through any number of websites, but most dealerships are desperate enough to give you decent trade in / price drop / bundled items to make it worthwhile.

Honda
Civic Hybrid
Civic 5 Door
Insight

Seat
Exeo (A4 for less)

Mitsubishi
Lancer Hatchback (But again depreciation madness)
ASX

Nissan
Juke
Qashqai

Peugeot
Partner Tepee (Save a fair whack to spend on something else?) we own a Partner Combi and it motors on, done 100k in it. Cheap to buy, but i would be looking at a 1 year old one, we bought ours still under warranty so it must have been something like just over 2 years old at the time and paid £5500 for it at BCA with 12k on the clock.

Skoda
Yeti (Yes another vote here, i love them :P)

Totally crazy out of this world idea, if you can wait until September (ish):

Kia Optima 2011 (Could be depreciation madness though, so i would be looking for one in 2012 and beyond)
