crank sensor

Had my crank sensor replaced yesterday in my Corsa, since then i have noticed slightly higher engine temperatures.

i dont know much about cars tbh but would having this part replaced cause the temperature to be higher? we are not talking overheating maybe just 5 degrees or so higher but makes the needle go well past the halfway mark.

Its unlikely to affect temp, unless it has affected the timing.

Which I suppose is possible, because there are no such things as mechanics nowadays - just goons with laptops who fit parts and replace what the laptop tells them to.
