Im trying to find insurance for the Volvo and the cheapest quote Ive got is £581!!
Now thats TPFT,£350 excess and 5k / yr
(thinking of keeping my rallye on the road at the same time)
Although why the hell is it so much, my rally is a little less than that, about £550! and yet its a higher insurance group, by 3 groups I think.
Its also worth less with a higher excess than my 106 rallye.
Although if I have 2 cars and 2 insurance policies does that mean if I have no claims in the next year then Id have 2 years of NCB ?
The simple fact is insurance never makes sense when you are comparing it.

It really doesnt!
God I wish I could understand them.
did you use a different address for insuting the rally ?
(only a guess, as you just moved a while back!)

amen to that, im comparing insurance for cars im looking at:
Present car = N-Reg Civic 1.5i : £290
Looking at
V-Reg Frontera 2.2 TD : £345
V-Reg Civic VTi Estate : £368
W-Reg Shogun Pinin : £319
Ill work it out at some point.
Cost of repairing the Volvo could be higher with more expensive parts than the Peugeot.

I dont think the insurers care from which district you orate when criticizing automotive design.
^^^
higher crime areas
areas with a higher chance of vandalism
more accident prone areas
etc. etc.
Yes the list goes on and on. How popular a car it is to break into or steal, etc.
But Im not sure If that is allready defined by the group insurance or not.

I think hes pulling your plonker Alan ;)
doh :o
Same address as the rallye, the parts maybe more expensive and true I could do more damage with 1850KG compared to 830Kg however the Rallye is a hot hatch group 10 car and the Volvo is only grp 7.
I cant wait till next year... Ill be 25 and have my license for 3 years too and also if no accidents happen Ill have my 1yrs NCB :) Prices should hopefully fall to realistic levels.
