Anybody know the electrical polarity of these electric window wiring to the switch.  Its an old astra between 1991-1998

Each switch has five male pins – and wires are 2 black, 1 red and two red/brown on driver side and 2 black 1 red and 1 red/brown and 1 brown on other side.

They were laid out as follows:

Left Side

Black - Brown - Red - Red/Brown - Black

Driver Side

Black – Red/Brown – Red – Red/Brown – Black

Basically want to know what's neutral, what's negative, earth and live.

Cheers for any ideas.

From memory, so may not be 100% right,

On my astra, I think the brown was earth, the live will be the thickest cable/

Problem is if I get it wrong Ill blow the motor on the windows.

Brown is earth, black is switched live, red is perm live.
