Title: Finally, some good looking spd touring shoes!
Post by: maximusotter on March 01, 2007, 19:04:04 PM
I have to say, Ive been on the verge of getting some vintage Diadora chrome calfskin perf-tops with slot cleats and riding MKS Sylvans with clips, like back in the day. Thats what browsing modern shoes has done to me. UGLY.

Then I saw these nice new shoes that you guys are getting in the UK, and cooed a bit to myself like a baby thats done teething.

They look just like my 80s Bata and Diadora cycling shoes, minus the dayglo logo. You wore cycling shoes to class?

What the f*ck do you people have against a pair of the most classical and conservative cycling shoes ever produced.

You mean classical as in what the Greeks and Egyptians used to wear? :mutley: Expensive

Id definitely prefer some Shimano M038 (http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/product-Parent-Shimano-M038-SPD-Touring-Shoes--per-pair--Grey-and-Black-10228.htm) touring shoes :)

I have to say Max, it appears you have a totally different definition of the words good looking. Perhaps its one of those transatlantic translational issues.

In this country we still use the word good to mean good. Perhaps you and your homies have re-evaluated good to have a value other than the classical meaning.
