The absolute incompetence of the French lab is coming to light and he may very well be able to retain his title of 2006 TDF champ.

Hopefully this will get cleared up before this summer, tho chances of him doing the TDF are slim. Shame, as I bet hed kill--as hes got a fresh hip this time. :D

Basically. The same techs did both batches, which is against the rules, The equipment was sketchy, the samples werent kept secure, etc.

Im not so naive as to defend the indefensible, but in Landiss case it truly smelled fishy when you look at his history as a rider. He may very well have taken illegal supplements in the past or even during this race that werent detected, but the timing and type of supplement were way wierd. It was testosterone, something that you never take for a one-shot push.

Im ready to remember that comeback in the alps for what it was: the most amazing day in the Tour Ive seen in my lifetime.

Heroic riding, like Ive never seen before. I need to get the video and watch it again. :ptu: If you havent seen the vids--be prepared to see some of the most amazing descent work ever done on a Tour.

I miss Jimmy. I saw him pop up on MSN the other day, but I was too preoccupied to gab.

Anyone still have a copy of that lovely GIF, with the blood and all?
