i have a tomtom one, its about 2 years old now but want to update the maps to the latest version.

how do i do this? and can i get the maps for free?

I would like to know this too, I think its on Tom Toms webby but Im off the bed now...

theyll charge you ~£40 for the uk maps iirc :o

Ive got the full europe maps.... about a year old.... with speed cams.... and post codes.... pm me and we can talk about them more ;) ;)

I was under the impression that all the sat nav makers use either one of 2 major mapping comapnies in Europe Navtech and TeleAtlas.  They dont do the mapping themselves, they just produce the software and interface to interpret and work with it.  I dont think the maps are changed that often, I tried submitting the changes to one of the mapping companies but never got a response.

Ive got a nav man only a couple of months old and If I listened to it would have driven up many one way streets by now in my town with road changes a good few years old.
