The only reason i would buy a PS3! (When they are cheap enough)

That was like porn.

DEViANCE

that does look amazing. GT3 was the only reason i get a ps2, looks like it will be the same here.

lol sorta looks amazing, but the smoke looks to just be added in over the top as an overlay type thing. Doesnt look right.

The crowd is completely unanimated and photographers just have the entire camera flashing.

oh and the crowd sound loop is easily detectable as a loop.

Good graphics for the car, but atmospherics... suck.

I think its something like theyre going to release GT:HD first then GT:5.

I think Im going to wait until GT5 comes out then consider getting one, although Id imagine thisd be a good few years down the line!

Right now it doesnt look like GT:HD will have damage, if it doesnt make it into 5 I probably wont get it. I mean come on, how many iterations do they need to go through before they start to do this. Not as if power is an issue now.

Definitely a visual stunning game - some great screenshots here on AVForums from the demo.

As pointed out in the Gaming Section the game doesnt look quite like that when you are actually playing it (they got v. carried away with motion blur) and the game is only being released with a few cars and 2 tracks... you will have to pay to download the rest (after buying the game for Ã,£50)

Sony anounced at the start of December that they were scrapping GT:HD and just releasing what they had done as a demo that includes 10 cars and one track with two routes. This is available in the US and Japan now as a download.

They are now working on getting GT5 made.

Sounds like a good idea tbh, why waste dev time on HD when they can just focus on 5.

Im sure I heard that if you wanted all the tracks and cars the bill would run into the thousands.  Rediculous.

Ill buy a 2nd hand ps2 if I want a blast on a driving game (i already own the gt4 game to play round mates houses).  The graphics on that are just fine, its the dynamics that make it what it is.  And as for damage modelling, why?!  The game is about driving, not crashing.  If you spin off a track the likelyhood is youll restart anyway, so having a message flash up saying "oh n0es youve dropped a rod" is largely irrelevent.  If youre the kind of person who finds themselves driving the wrong way round the track into the AI cars for poops and lols, go buy destruction derby  :?

Err maybe because people use the AI to bounce of so they can get around corners quicker, or just ride along the side walls etc. Yes its a driving simulator and supposedly a realistic one so they should behave like real cars when they hit one another. After all the condition of the tyres makes a difference, why shouldnt loosing/damaging body panels or suspension etc - they all affect performance.

Also the dynamics on the older GTs isnt perfect theyve actually spent a lot of time resolving these issues for the PS3 GTs (ie sliding).

He was talking about driving around the track the wrong way for $hits and giggles :)

I think those movies are VERY gorgeous, but if you have to pay after spending Ã,£50 Id rather fill my car up twice and go for a real drive tbh.
