I was reading a thread over on PH where a person has been involved in a possible insurance claim scam by a group of lads and this article was linked to:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2088370/Car-insurance-doubled-Want-know-money-goes-Heres-shocking-truth.html
Worth a read, although some of the details have been apparent for sometime it fills in all the finer details, thought i'd post it here as a heads up, to stop you getting potentially scammed!

My renewal is due soon, I was hoping it would be a bit cheaper this year yet somehow I very much doubt it, probably the opposite!

Try these guys for a quote http://www.quotemehappy.com/ back in November I managed to get my insurance 70 quid cheaper than last year, most of the other quotes on comparison sites were £100+ more than I paid last year  with silly excesses and no legal cover etc, a couple of other people I know have saved money as well.

The thread was more about the article and a scam that is being used by gangs atm, we should keep cheaper insurance discussion to another thread! :)

"Quotemehappy.com insurance is a trading name of Aviva Insurance Limited" so basically the online version of the same sh*tmongers highlighted in the article. Having pointed that out though, cheapest is still cheapest. I will go with any old crap company if it gives me the lowest premium.

Never had anyone beat Sky/Adrian flux insurers.
Confuse the Meercats always want at least double what I get by ringing round.

i used Adrian Flux for ages, they were especially cheap versus other insurers for the Eunos. It's worth remembering about people like them that you won't find on the comparison sites.
