Dropped the Daihatsu off for a starter job at 4pm yesterday, picked up at 9am this morning. Emil thought that $300 for a new starter was ridiculous, so he built me one with various parts he had around the garage. New brushes of course, so its good for another decade. $200 for parts and labor. I shared the garage with a Volvo P1800, a Rolls Royce, a 72 BMW, a Japanese Toyota MR-S, a Mini with a soft top, roll cage, and glassed body, a brown/cream VW bus from 75ish, and a Cadillac. I cant believe he works on Cadillacs! :shock: His personal Alfa Spyder was also keeping company.
