Bit more work today - didnt get a lot of time so not as much done as I would have liked

Had to finish up the gearbox - 5th gear and synchro needed to go on here



Synchro assembly that fell apart on me and I had to spend 30 minutes fiddling it back together again



Setting the box on to the press to push the gears on



pushed on 5th gear and synchro assembly



Pushed on 5th driven gear



Box finished



Bolted on to the engine. Tomorrow I am going to try and finish it.

What will you do next once you have done the engine, gearbox etc? Are you doing anything to the interior?

Leaving it as is, with recaro profi SPG racing seat, racing harness and plenty of dials !!

so not pimping then? Or even just get some cool dials or they cool enough? I admit to not being a mega car buff in the sense of what you are doing but I understand it, respect it and like watching the shows and thinking what you could do to a car.
I like bunging in lcd in the dash and actually have use for it tied to a computer, online wifi, gps etc and electronic displays.

from left to right

oil pressure
oil temperature
fuel pressure
exhaust gas temperature

on the pillar:
water temp
boost

Id get some fur in the interior! Would look cool. I think I might put some purple fur in my BMW.

fur would look about as cool as a pink steering wheel cover...

Look, if you sold him the purple fur he can do with it what he likes.

Then again I suggested a pink steering wheel cover and accessories for my brothers Fiat Panda, he didnt seem to want it for some reason...

Why not?

I put Fur in my old Volvo, it added value to the car and the guy wanted it with the fur.

Its not going to be austentatious, it isnt pink, just a dark purple and will look nice.
