The parts in there have lasted 14 years so far, bar the brakes.
I dont expect to be doing much of it again next year tbh, this is a rough and tough 4x4.

If its any consolation, my old L-Reg L200 from work is still being used.  It was at 185k before I left 3 years back.  I believe its well into the 200k range now.  All I had done to it in 3 yeas was a new power steering pump, and a new handbrake cable.

Ive got a big file of receipts for the truck.  It only has 85k, was imported at 65km.

My big Volvo had 268K on the clock on the same engine. Dont know about the rest of the parts. Now that was a tough but randomly crap car at the same time.

Mitzis are pretty bulletproof  TBH.  Like I said, that old L200 was still ticking along nicely, and still is.

Not like Tatas, they are a POS! my dad was driving one home one day a few years ago, the cops pulled him over as they noticed somthing dogdy about the pickup.

The guy looked it over and sent my dad on the way, seemingly not wanting the paperwork that went along with the pull over.

still, must have been REALLY bad if it failed the english MOT

Front arms were probably literally hanging off.

Heh, Mate just picked up a car from Northern Ireland, a 3-pot Corsa.  Its the worst POS ive seen in my life.  The Isle-Of-Man cars Ive rented in the past have been in better nick.  Sounds to me like you live in is tight, but around where it came from (Bangor) they are just as bad as you think the mainland UK is.

All MOT centres do the same test - standard equipment.

Must have been either long out of its MOT and badly looked after, or had a fake MOT

A lot of people are buying MOTs here from dodgy english garages when they cant get their car thorugh the MOT here. Pretty common practice that still isnt being tightened up on.

*shrug* its not due an MOT until next year.  He got for his Wife. At the moment its sat on his drive with the back axle off and Im helping him melt some of the bushes off it on Monday morning.

Its not like a "Max Power" garage where they are looking at the pirelli calendar playing with themselves while doing the MOT.
