Activa no. 2 to be collected at the end of the month - has been retrofitted with a bigger turbo (Essential since the smaller one provides little boost)

pics to follow! (I must do a video of the full cornering ability)

With suspension that will outlast and outhandle whatever you have (Unless you drive an Enzo)

And the body (Being fully galvanised) will probably also outlast whatever you have.

Heh, i can see why people like the Activa, I just dont like the Xantia bodystyle.  The suspension setup is a brilliant idea, i just wouldnt like to own one because it would give me nightmares in case it broke.  Ill stick to independant suspension on old fashioned springs.  I can fix that  :)

Mark

It very very seldom does break though thats the thing - if its looked after properly then it last for ages.

Its nowhere near as complicated as backstreet mechanics would have you believe (Because they cant fix it) It will tell you what is wrong with itself if there is a fault.

The Original system in the 50s was the only one that gave any bother, because the wrong type of rubber was used in the seals, which the LHM caused to perish - this is where the unreliability claims come from. Modern systems have plastic coated pipes, and last for ages before anything more serious than a simple sphere replacement needs doing.

Dont much care for the look of them myself - but its the cornering ability that counts!

Binary Shadow

are they not a bit heavy to be bragging about cornering? hardly go karts are they

Mark

Lighter than the likes of a 911 (Which has legendary cornering ability)
Lighter than a skyline, supra, 3000GTO, 300ZX, etc etc etc all of wich corner well.

None of them have active roll control, and therefore none can do 0.98g on road tyres.

snellgrove

Get some down-force running there BX, and get it > 1G :D :D :D

Mark

I would only Id risk looking even bigger a tit in a xantia with a massive spoiler than simply just being in a Xantia lol

the 911 is also rear engined so completely different?

and the GTO (3000GT) has electronic controlled suspension that cuts roll and allsorts of other things by adjusting the dampers as you drive.
