Well my day didnt go as expected... Went out for a ride to keep the bike happy (05 1200 Bandit) and came home the owner of a bright yellow 2000 BMW F650GS (13,000miles - very tidy) which Im picking up on Saturday.

I hated the bandit so very happy to see it gone and replaced with something Ill be happy doing a chunk of miles on. Fuel tank underseat makes the bike feel so light (its only 170kg anyway) and a bit of fairing will make those motorway bikes a lot more bearable :)

Now I just need to get my hands on a new dirt bike and Ill be set :D

Meh the bandit wasnt a fun bike at all. 1200 is way too big for short distance (its only just warmed up and off the choke by the time you get to the destination), it weighed a ton (even dry!), acceleration was actually slower than my old SV650 and top speed was only 7MPH more. It sucked for fuel usage (about 40mpg) and had zero fairing so combined with the weight it was just tiring to ride long distance. Oh and the seat sucked.

Its only win point was being a bandit & 1200cc it would last forever. The engine is bulletproof.

Picked it up yesterday and went for a small ride in the rain. Bit vibey (its a single) but instantly more comfortable and nicer to ride than the bandit.

I did notice tho that riding the 1200 for the last few months has made me lazy and Im not sure what these gear things are anymore (you could do 100 in 2nd on the bandit if you wanted :P)
