I was looking around at some to do my car with, rather than forking out Ã,£3 odd every month at the car wash to get the cack off it. The results I saw at the weekend from my mums pressure washer was fantastic, got all the crap off from under the seals and things

Does anyone have any experience with the Flash el cheapie car cleaning jobbie? clicky

Am I right to assume its cheap because its a gimmick that doesnt work? Would I be better off getting a fully fledged pressure washer?

Rusty

 Thats not a pressure washer, god knows why theyve put it in that category.

Beware that they dont get under the seal etc, as a pressure washer can get into areas it shouldnt - which is why car manufacturers say you should hand wash your car.

/says he who bought a Karcher thingy at Homebase sale and has never used it.....

Cypher

Get yourself a Karcher Pressure Washer.

Its a hose fitting with a water filter to absorb all the chalk and other impurities in the water. You are better off going for a more expensive proper one.

knighty

yeah get a proper one... but a cheap one

there fine for washing your car :)

if you want to steam clean the engine etc.. some time just gimme a shout and we can do it in my factory with my fancy one :)

DEViANCE

i got the cheapest one b&q sell 30quid~ish does the job well tbh, but i only use it to rinse the bubbles off.

When I worked a B&Q the Performance Power pressure washer used to be anything from Ã,£35 to Ã,£39.99 Does the job beautifully, my nan uses it to blast her patio once in a while :)

BTW... if you just want a flash type thing, go wandering around some allotments, youll find hose attachments that clip on that offer a reservoir to store fertilizer solution and then allow you to push it through the hose to get the suds on your car.

I used washing up liquid in an old Miracle Grow one to blast my bike. It has a knob to either take water through the soapy gunk or to just pump water straight out to rinse :)

Beats using a bucket of soapy water and sponge. :)

I have a pressure washer. It does not get near the car.

Car wash = bucket, suds, and rag/sponge
