Eeew, it smells funny in this section.  

Anyway the missus gets up this morning and some little git has snapped off her driver side wing mirror(by hand it seems).

Couple of questions : Is this easy to fix? Will we have to buy a replacement, or can I repair the old one?

Prob need some more info / pics mate as they all will be different.
When I replaced the wing mirrors on the old scoob it was a case of interior door panel off, 3 screws, unplug the heated element and reverse to fit new one.

If they have broken something I would think its unlikely you can do an easy repair but you may be lucky - if not get yourself down the breakers yard

depends on the car, some can just pop on and off (the idea being that if the mirror clips a ped itll come off before damaging the ped

Well, the thing had been snapped clean off, no external marks - its quite strange.

We need it fixed asap and Halfords are doing it for Ã,£35 all inc.
