Which should I get?
All use the same engine and all are "around" the same price [5-7k].
Opinions etc please :]]]
Thanks!
Cordoba for my choice, they look less dated than the others. As much as i like the Fabia VRs it isnt ageing well.
The skoda Fabia vRS is a great car, I nearly bought one!
Friend of mine recently bought an 02 VW Golf 1.9 TDI (150).
Its not to my tastes mind, somethings I like about it, some I dont, the germaness of it in general mainly. Then again my judgement is reserved as only a passenger.
But as a car and its powerplant, I couldnt be more impressed with a 1.9 Diesel Turbo unit. 150BHP, 320NM torque, it will just accelerate in any gear at whatever speed no drama and returns usually up to 55MPG.
He says it takes a bit of effort to drive but it rewards you and just gets better the more you push, its also easy to drive slowly as well.
The going rate for the 150 is aout 8K atm, even the 130 should put a smile on your face.
I choose passat as I think it has the most inside space. Also I have owned
6 passats the last one a diesel, they were all easy to work on. Would not
chose sport though but a combi,
We dont have the Combi over here, only the S, SE, Sport!
Oh and Highline/Trendline on newer models [04 on].
Thanks for the opinions so far guys, appreciate it :]
fabia/ibiza for quickness cos they weigh nothing.
passat for space and size.
golf if you wanna good looking car or are going to modify it at all.
these things are stooopid quick with a tuning box on.
Matt
Depends what you want from it. The Ibiza/Fabia would be too small for me. Id choose the Passat if I wanted a family car otherwise Id get the Golf if I wanted a runaround.
Ibiza for the modern looks :)
Jaimz
The Golf, its boring but outa that lot the best pick cos they are very nippy.
golf. you know your not going to die when you have a crash, plus the interior is a neutral space which induces calmness.
can you tell i just got back from a phycology of design lecture :)
Skoda, Passat, or Golf are all good as long as they have a hatch rear. A Passat wagon can haul a sick amount of stuff if you fold the seats down. The VWs tend to have really good safety considerations like curtain airbags, though I think the Skoda gets a couple more rather unimportant style points.
all good solid cars, all pretty yawn worthy imo.
Pick the one with the best resell value.
Ill probably go with the Passat as I do need space and I like my creature comforts so that rules out the Fabia/Ibiza/Golf!
Thanks for your opinions guys!
what about a bora sport?
