1 year old!

and the little monster is still ticking - not one problem with it in a year (except punctures, obviously).

Ive not had to touch the brakes, gears or wheels - the thing just marches on, after doing well over 1500miles this year easily. All ive done in the time ive had it is degrease/oil the chain and clean it regularly - the campagnolo groupo is sensational for the price and even the gipiemme wheelset (which alot of people said wouldnt last) has not put a spoke wrong despite heavy hammering.

Absolutely astonishing, especially at the price i paid.

Well see at 10K. ;) Not enough time for silent but deadly stuff to show up. Stuff like crap eyelets that crack, spokes that pop, BBs that go sandy over a few days. That stuff usually rears its ugly head at 10K--if its gonna happen at all. Doubt youll have problems with the groupset, though.

I got about a thousand miles on the fixie so far. Nothing wrong with it either. No flats, wheels round as day one. With pretty aggressive urban riding. :D

Check for chain stretch, you might need a new one after 1500 miles. I usually get 3K out of derailleur chains, FWIW. Sram P58s in case you were curious.

Serious

If my bike lasts me 10,000kilometres I will be very hapy to bin it and get another one if that happens...

Only ride it in the summer/autumn though and rarely in the proper winter.

Last year was particularly bad with rain and other issues so I hardly went out on it :(
