f1 engine test

These are really works of art in terms of their construction and the modern day f1 engine is something else even with them being knocked down from the old days the power and now the reliability of them is just amazing

We had some pistons in the other day for cosworth, they wanted them to be Sub zero hardened in our hot and cold room. does crazy things to crystal structures, the micrography is stunning.

those exhausts get a "little" hot then ?

plus... shoulden;t they have left it ticking over for a while at the end to cool the engine down ?  tut tut tut !

He had ear plugs in - red wire coming out of them becuase people have big headsets and they also have like the driver ear plugs which are also do sound

they certainly get you going. last week i was present for somethings new 3.5 litre twin turbo test in nurburg. i cant say what car it was for but jesus.

They probably knew they were going to give it a full rebuild afterwards so didnt bother.
