I managed to lose the back end the other day on a roundabout and ended up nosing it into the ground a bit. I pushed the bumper inwards at the bottom which has pushed the lower bumper mounts back. The top bit (where the bumper meets the headlights) is untouched, just the lower mounts. This means that I had to pull out the wheel arches, bend a bit of metal back (to prevent it from touching the wheels) and bending the radiator mount back into shape (is wonky, but holds OK). The bumper mounts arent structural, they just hold the bumper and the radiator in place. The bumper is back on, just not mounted at the bottom.

...Is this an MOT fail?

Binary Shadow

doubt itll fail an MOT unless theres sharp bits sticking out

There were, but Ive bent them out of the way and can easily dremel them off smooth.

Id make sure the bumper isnt going to flap around. If it is then they might see that as a danger. It might be able to work it self lose.

If your headlights have moved then they might be out of alignment which theyll check.

Not done a mot for nearly 6 years, but then you could only fail on sharp edges if it was caused by corrosion.

Serious

You could tighten a vice on the bend and straighten it up more, unless its meant to be a bit bent.
