English rugby Has had a shake up and a rebuild but at least there has been good signs of some really sexy and exciting play and players building

He is like Robinson for England Rugby -> Was just not willing to risk playing with flare and try new players and push for it.
The new England Rugby Manager has made errors and has had a lot of injury issues but has trained and played some young guns who have injected pace and style and there is hope and While England lost 2 games in the 6 nations you see potential that is not far away.

In the football you look see no one that is anything but meh and then nothing until 16-19 year olds.

Tbh, hes starting to make sven look good, who made some good and bad decision in his time.  The record books do make sven look good.  He was just sh*t at friendlies.  When history looks back on managers, sometimes stats are all that are remebered.

He wont stray from 4-4-2 & makes stupid selections like playing Carragher at Left Back instead of right back. He could have played Baines of Wigan, Taylor of Portsmouth or Barry of Villa at Left Back, Either of which are good at going forward to support Aaron Lennon.

What Lampard has to do NOT to play 90mins I dont know.

Israel packed the midfield, all Sven MkII had to do was Swap Lampard for Carrick, Pull Gerrard into the middle & Let Lennon play wide right & send Jonston Wide Left in a 4-3-3 formation. There would have been enough in midfield then. Hargreaves to Protect, Carrick to Probe & Gerrard to get forward... THere again, why a team needs Hargreaves to protect to Centrebacks who are supposed to be the best in the world, I dont know...

Its about time England had a manger who has the Balls to pick a team of players who are actually performing.
Rooney hasnt scored a goal for England in ages.. he went through the same baron run for Man Utd in Europe. Gerrard & Lampard cannot play together. Bench one of them.

There are but every game I have half seen in the last year they seem very disinterested until the last 10 minutes when they realise they will be in the crap if they draw/loose

Lamps is a good player for Chelsea, but his workrate for England is non-existent, seems like the only reason he could be there is for a goal-scorer from midfield, and if you want to do that, might as well play Gerrard through the centre and Beckham back on the right, which will without doubt result in more goals IMO. (Not that I necessarily think Becks should be in the team, but rather him than Lamps).

really is appalling how we are completely incapable of changing our tactics in a game too, never happened under Sven, and seems unlikely to happen under Mclaren either.

Were so tedious at the moment I pretty much wish I didnt care. A sad day.  :?

Thats because theres a world class player behind him who makes him look good at chelski.

lampard more or less plays as a support striker for the rent boys, leaving Makelele and Essien to do all the real midfield work.

He also relies a lot on pot shots from distance and lucky deflections, something england dont really do.

He really needs to be dropped and Gerrard and Hargreaves given the central midfield. as Vile a person as he is, even Barton would be a better bet in the england midfield than Fat frank at the moment.

what i noticed yesterday (and in other games) is that they always seem to be rushing when they are in possession, even if they have time to run forward or look up and think about a pass, they seem to just rush it and pass the nearest person or even to nobody.

complete crap yesterday, i agree lamps isnt a national team player.

I think everyone in the UK knows Lampard is sh*t for England - I mean his world cup performance was record breaking in reaching new levels of crapness.

In general though I agree that the team lacks pride, passion and balls. McLaren was a poor choice and I said that at the time not just in light of his performance. We need a manager with some heart and some real passion for England - not just for football.

BTW - no matter how boring England play or a football match becomes it will never ever be as boring as a game of bloody rugby.
