So had a quick check under the bonnet was sure my brother had put the bonnet down correctly and went out to test VAG COM on the Golf, next thing I know I have my bonnet slammed against my Windscreen. Gutted

It dented the roof as well so gonna see about getting that pulled and sorted proffesionaly, picking up a new Windscreen in the morning and a new Bonnet...

the dent in the roofs is  abasterd... it didnt look so bad from the photos... I thought a new bonnet, bonnet hinges and a windscreen would have it pretty much sorted

You not got any bonnet catches or anything?  Ive never had a car that it was possible to push the bonnet back that far.

mk2s will. theres no straps on them to stop it.

bad luck fella. its pretty much a write off if its creased the roof. depends on value and what you choose to do, but if its creased the roof, youve got a weak point.

it wasnt shut properly... and flew open when he was driving

New bonnet is on, new windscreen (really easy to put in) is done, looking for a respray for the bonnet now tho.

The dint is at the start of the roof just before the sunroof taking it on Friday to get looked at, see if it can be pushed out and then sorted...

The bonnet thats on now is having horrible peel on it just looks funny on a car with perfect paint work else where.

Got the bonnet & windscreen for £20 each by the way, Im budgiting £200 for painting.

just get some blackboard paint and get it blacked!!!
