it is short ratiod but he is shifting early there, they rev up to 10,000rpm.

IIRC the road going version had 250 BHP and it wasnt to hard boost that to around 300BHP and still keeping fairly reasonable engine life and maintenance costs.

I would have had one in a flash back in the day  if I could have afforded one

Dont forget they to squeeze a massive engine into something that stuggles to hold a 1.3.
It was an excellent car till they changed the rally rules IIRC
