The other night was great.
On the 106 Rallye Register a group who are Raising Money for The Salvation Army where coming through Hexham (near Newcastle) to stay the night and get in some driving on the tricky and very dangerous country roads around Keilder.
I met with mr_roll at around 5.30pm at the Metro Centre and quickly made our way to Hexham (well 60mph all the way as I had just finished off the engine rebuild) we reached Hexham and was met by one of the other lads from Hexham and we where taken to his work.. We turned up at his work to find it was a TVR Garage:

After drooling over all of the cars. We headed out to some of the best roads Ive ever driven it was kept at the speed limit all the way but the corners where challenging and tricky at this speed. Having to keep up with some cars with a lot more power than I was able to push was the diffcult part :D Best night of driving ever for me :) Really opened my eyes on where im going wrong on my local backroads :D I will get some photos of all the cars that went out, when they have them ready.
Yeah the roads round kielder are excellent. My other personal favourites are some of the cross country routes in the triangle between Thirsk, Ripon and Masham in North Yorkshire.
Worth a trip out to either of them - although Kielder has the added benefit of a bit of mountain biking too :)
