Looking for some good budget tyres, that are good for all round use for the work van.

Currently doing upto 340 miles a night in all weathers.

Ive tried Savas, dont know who makes them but they are pretty good, just wondering if there is any Branded budgets i should be looking at.

Avoid Doublestars.  Utter gash.

They are what you get if the wife buys tyres.

I dont know if you mean budget as in Taiwanese ditchfinders or budget as in the bottom end of top brands, but BF Goodrichs seem good across the range. Im also okay with Pirellis, I think the last set I had were P6 or P6000s and they were competent enough wet and dry.

Ive used SAVAs on the Van and the Car, but a mate told me about some Toyos that only cost £48 each fitted, just wondering if any other decent brands doing tyres for a good price.

Im currently on falken fk 452 i think they are called. Probably calassed as premium budgets, ive been very impressed with them for the price.

Got Uniroyals on the Honda, which were cheap midranges, and Kuhmos on the Soarer.

I almost forgot about Falken 452s, they come up as pretty common fit on BMWs, well worth looking at. As for Toyos, I think only their premium ranges are any good (Mark would dispute that too) you can get better value from other brands IMO.

Goblin

Not budget, but the Goodyears I just put on the car are brilliant in the wet.
It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

Im on Fulda Carat Progressos on the Veccy.  Not the greatest tyre ever created, but for £45 per corner fitted they arent too bad.

Ive only had the Toyo T1Rs but have used them on my mr2 many times, if you have a regular size theyre usually just over the £50 a corner mark I think.

Get hankooks. v12 or s1 would be at the cheaper end, I use the trackday tyres on the MR2 - I was using £200 each michelins but they were frankly appallingly bad - so I went back to RS2 Hankooks which work well for me when its not summer - Summer tyres are Kumho Ecsta V70A in medium or hard compound.

I had Cooper Zeons on the Yaris and they were awesome.

The new motor has Continental SportContact2 and they seem pretty decent.
