Bought a car with FSH and 80k on the clock 2002/3 plate, put it through to have a Cambelt today all went well

A call back later in the afternoon to say the Head Gasket has gone and potentially a cracked head.

Hmm you never mentioned having the cambelt done today too, you sure the garage couldnt have cocked up something causing the HG failure?

Seems a bit coincidental to me, not that I know enough to knwo whether thats possible or not, but still...

It had a slight water leak from when i bought it, i didnt notice this right away, the garage bloke said its been filled with Radweld or similar and cleaned up so its not noticeable, he is a bloke family members use frequently and i trust him.
