Nimrod, get some warm clothes, put three pairs of socks on, some fur lined rigger boots and a sheepskin jacket. You will be fine ;)
Ive got proper thermal lined textiles and a pair of Sidi winter boots, I think I just need to put thicker socks on :)
The real problem is that my cars heater gets up to temp very very quickly :)
Dont use thicker socks, use more of them, it works better. Two thin pairs are better than one thick.

BMW do some thermal lined boots that are battery powered, my had has some and they are awesome. They also do heated vests and gloves.
But really, in this weather...Car. Bike in summer, its really dangerous at this time of year.

I enjoy riding to work in the winter, you get to work so awake and invigerated. You just need to have some decent water proofs and your fine!

Ive just got in from a ride and although it is a little warmer today, the two pairs of socks seems to have sorted it :)
I bought some big thermal socks from M&S and I am using them as as boot liner; seems to do the job :p

I really like the Hornet but as I am on a restricted license for 2 years I am going to have to wait. I dont think the Hornet would appreciate being limited to 33bhp :s
My Dads CBF500 is quite nice but its a very traditional style bike.
