As title. But Id like a volume control/kill button for James Allen

Dave

Glad hes finally managed it - hopefully there will be more to come in the future

Amen. to the second part

Good result for Jenson, comedy race though.
"Within your 'purview'? Where do you think you are, some f**king regency costume drama? This is a government department, not some f**king Jane f**king Austen novel!"

So whos the lucky charity that will inherit his fortune? :P

I understand if hed swap his fortune for a championship but not a single win. Still, credit to the guy and hopefully once Honda sort their act out hell be challenging soon.

That was a fantastic race. I have never been on the edge of my seat like that while watching a grand prix before.

Alonsos charge through the field was nothing short of spectacular, just a pity that his car died. Schumacher retiring was just laughable and completely his own fault. De La Rosa was very impressive and well done to BMW and Heidfeld too. Shame about Raikonnen though.

It might not have been if Alonso hadnt retired but that said Button was catching him up very quickly before he fell off the track and Button outdrove everyone else fair and square. Good on him :)

And what the frick was wrong with that director? Just as Heidfeld goes to put a move on Schumacher, he cuts away to a smoking Toyota. On the last lap of the race, he keeps on showing De La Rosa passing Schumacher. I was almost surprised when he showed Button crossing the line. ITV werent much better either when they showed that interview with Buttons Dad while other cars were still racing.

Badabing

f*cking brilliant!

hes finally done it - and not in one of the bigger named cars, like Williams or McClaren, either.

Ceathreamhnan

It is good, but its hardly on outright merit though, is it? Ive been thinking recently that since Honda have decided to micro-manage the ex-BAR team more directly now, that they are going to go backwards. Their biggest mistake was allowing David Richards to go (because clearly hes one of these people who make a difference in any form of motorsport, and likes to run things his own way).

Norphy

The victory was on merit. Yes, the two top drivers on the track both retired but lets examine that: He was already ahead of Schumacher by some margin when Schumacher retired and he was catching up with Alonso very quickly when Alonso went. It is fortunate for Button that Alonso did retire but that takes nothing away from the victory.

The only other driver who could have challenged for the victory today was Raikonnen. However considering that de la Rosa was going faster than him when he smacked into Luizzi suggests that he probably would have finished second or third had he not done that.

Jesson had him tbh even with that problem.

Jesson 110% deserved that win, worked hard had the right car and tire and tactic and it all went well, veyr happy for him.

Schumacher your 100% right with, was being a bloody idiot again. His tires were screwed and he was to aragont when faster cars easily had him.
Cutting Rosa off like that should get him some minus points or something tbh, cus he went off the track got owned, cut accross to get ahead again, went to let him through then closed the door like an idiot, And then with the next car about to kick his ass he again tried to be stupid and broke his car as a result, He made a cock up with his tires did not change them and he should have lived with it. This season his attitude has been worse then ever and he should see that and note it and learn its time to leave the sport at the end of the season.

Director - agree, was an idiot, some are. It should be one fixed team for all races tbh not these local ones they have now, we would have far better viewing.

As for the race, was very good all the way through, it is just a shame it only happens when its rained or is raining to get such high action races.

Deaths Head

What did we say about not putting spoilers in subjects :D  I am going to assume Jensen has done well or took Alonso out of the race :)  I am waiting for the highlights to come on after being over in York all day.

Bah, TV card just switched on as the news announcer was saying who had won the race.  Sods law. :)

Ceathreamhnan

Its OK Deaths, he just managed to finish the GP thats all. Are you imposing a complete media news blackout on GP days then? No car radios? Do you shout at people in the street to keep away from you in case they give the game away? :P

Actually Im with you all teh way on the second assumption you made ;)

Deaths Head

No, just I live a sheltered life and have few luxuries :)  I think it would be nice if people just considered people may not have watched it yet when making titles :D  Plus the tv coming on exactly when the result is being discussed was just typical.

The exact same thing happened in the world cup, I was trying to avoid the england match result because I had recorded it.  Everywhere I looked/turned/listened to/turned on was announcing the match result.  I turned the tv on to see what was on and it was the news discussing the match result :)

Ceathreamhnan

Well precisely! So whats the point in no spoilers in thread titles if youre going to allow yourself to turn the tv on?    Because obviously, during the world cup, theres no other news item but, the world cup.

BRING BACK MURRAY WALKER

oh and the race was epic :D

Kubica has been disqualified from the race. Apparently the car has been found to be 2KG underweight. According to some reports, the loss in weight is due to him staying out on intermediates and the tyres shedding a whole load of rubber during the race.

Seems silly really. Youd think theyd take that sort of thing into account.

The net result of this is that Massa has been promoted to seventh and Schumacher has been awarded eighth despite not finishing.
