Seeing as there seems to be a prevalence of push-bike related threads, i thought i should ask what peoples main form of transportation was... Vote away!

maximusotter

Equal amount of trips between bikes and cars, but the car does the long trips. Bike is great for a run to the Lager Mart (tm) or similar.

car.. why, because its effortless and theres nowt else thatll get me from 0-60 in 6 seconds on the ground.. oh and motorbikes scare the hell outta me

Cypher

Depends where I am going tbh.

2 Mile trip into town centre, Ill walk it in 25-30 mins

A trip to coventry/birmingham etc, Car or Local Transport

IDY

Car - mainly because I commute to work, a 110 mile round trip.

Mardoni

Car; because I can.

I have a bike that I occasionally use for short journeys but generally speaking I use my car because carrying anything on a bike is a PITA.

Youll prob not get 6 seconds out of the Calibra either, due to age :)

Dave

LOL 245bhp says otherwise

Dave

hey public transport isnt necessarily slow - fastest method of getting accross central london is generally the tube.

Bus is second fastest for a lot of routes  due to bus lanes - cycling is faster than the bus during rush hour but still slower than the tube & the car is the slowest of all except perhpas at 4am when there is less traffic

Who says?

If thats a book figure from when the cars new, ive got sour news for you.
With age, that will have deteriorated.  Also, RRs cant be trusted.

Mark

I would lay money that there is no more than 200/205hp or so from that engine.

The number of 300 bhp Renault 5s I have seen on our rollers that have been putting out 145-175, and the number of 500+hp jap cars that have been doing a little over manufacturers quoted figures is astounding.

Chris

I feel a pod trip coming on...

And if his car is putting out 205 BHP, then thats as close to the standard/new BHP as phuket is to swearing.

Serious

I have a pass for free use of the Metro and local busses supplied by all you taxpayers out there :).

(gee, thanks!)

Otherwise it depends on where Im going and who Im with.
