Quote from: EggtasticoAnyway, back to your post. Im usually that Twat in a Benzo weaving in & out of traffic & end upstuck behind some inconsiderate prick doing 30mph when the road is more than safe enough to go 40-45. Road Speeds are well out of date. 30 & 40 are to slow for the majority of roads & 30 is to fast for a lot of built up areas. Its a faster world now that it was years ago & I also drive 30k miles a year & have done for 10yrs+.

Driving the speed limit is following the law, but if you think its inconsiderate, then indeed youve described yourself perfectly. Driving is a privlege, not a right, and by the sound of it, people in the UK would be a nudge safer if folks like yourself got your license suspended.

Quote from: EggtasticoIf you get off on thinking youve slowed us down, then good for you.. believe me, once i pass the sunday driver, I quickly make up anytime lost in eating up the road ahead.

Delusional with a "worlds out to get me" attitude as well. Nice.

Inconsiderate is going 60 in the overtaking lane.
Inconsiderate is hogging the lane when its safe to move over.
Inconsiderate is not leaving a gap for traffic to change lane.
Inconsiderate is hogging the inside of a round-about & then cutting across 3 lanes of traffic to take their exit.

The worst drivers I see are those who are going to slow with the flow of traffic. They cause so many problems & accidents. Ive lost count the amount of times Ive seen accident near misses because of what I listed above. I drive fast, but im a safe driver. Zero Accidents & only 3 points for going 90 in a 70. No biggy. I guess your not from the UK, so until you drive over here for a considerable amount of time to understand our driving conditions, you shouldnt lecture about the safety. Slow Drivers have slow reactions. Oh & the worlds not out to get me.. its just slowing me down.

Not a company licence though is it?   We can only hope you receive appropriately rough justice tbh.

Unless the weather or traffic conditions mean that 60 is the safe top speed to do.
QuoteInconsiderate is hogging the lane when its safe to move over.
Ill give you that one.
QuoteInconsiderate is not leaving a gap for traffic to change lane.
What?  so people can shoot up the right hand lane and dive into the traffic queue at the front?  Hardly.  If everyone else has had to wait then the wankers shooting up the outside lane can bloody well wait as well.

Sounds like you have been on the roundabout at the end of the M65.

Do you mean slower than the flow of traffic, or at the same speed as the rest of the traffic?

Bollocks, the people who say that are invariably the ones who think that 120 on the motorway is their legal right, and drive up behind you on the motorway flashing their headlights when you are overtaking because you made them go less than 100.  Slow and hesitant people are dangerous, as are those who run out foot to the floor everywhere without thought to anything but themselves.

Clicky forum here huh? No wonder its not very busy. I bet you all got each others house address & mobile numbers.

Do you send each other Xmas & Bday cards? or do you all just meet every month to pat each others bums & show your knees & left nipple?

Clock'd 0Ne

Not that clicky at all Id say, your complete disregard for other road users is what is bringing everyone down on you.

I drive fast, but remarks like:

QuoteWheres the fun in that? company vehicle, company insurance. I have no plans on being a taxi driver, so a clean licence aint needed

will not earn you much respect from anyone here.

BigSoy

Firstly, its "cliquey"  ;) Not that it is.

Secondly, feeling a bit left out?  :P

thirdly, do you want a christmas card?

i dont agree 100% with the slow drivers causing accidents
sure they are a pain in the arse
but the amount of times ive seen someone in a merc or bmw cut up someone on a roundabout or overtake on a slip road takes the piss
sure i drive like a twat, i overtake around corners and get right up someones backside when i do overtake, but there are some things that i dont do, because I may be a good driver and know what im doing, but others do not

I think we drive the same then. I dont cut up. Infact, I wont even lane change until I can at least see the number plate of the car behind.

As for the Board being Clicky/Cliquey or however you want it spelt. This is coming from a new member & believe me, it is.

I would guess the majority know each other from before this forum as everyone seems to have joined around the same month & there dont seem to be that many other posters who joined months later.. (everyone signed up in March bar 1 person apart from me)
Doesnt it make you wonder why people dont stay around?

anyway, I came to talk about trixbox & nobody posted much help. So like I said in that post. Im off before Im noticed Im here.

Whoever is Chief of the board. Can I suggest a new avatar for you?

PuNk

the board has been around for many years, ive been on it for like 5, which is why i know a few people. We changed BBS software a few times, which is why we have the same registration date.

And we welcome new members, and even though I think youre rude and egotistic I dont hold grudges.

But you openly admitted you drive like an idiot, and you think its okay. And you dont have to be on a forum to act the way you are and get people reacting the way we do.

Next time youre having a conversation with any respectful person why not bring up the fact you like to break the speed limits, you think its fun to do so regardless of safety.

Im 20 years old, of course i speed from time to time, and sometimes roads are safer than the allocated speed limit, but acting like a cock about it is what causes trouble. Arrogant, rude, insensitive drivers are the reason the roads are such a dangerous place.
