I think its safe to say that Gears of War is going to be good, very good.

Where has it been confirmed its region free?

Looks like Play-Asia listed it as region free then quickly changed it 30min later. (From what Ive read via Google)

vg+ have confirmed the US release is region free

and the warez copies of it floating around have been ripped from an asian release, and there is no way to crack region protection yet on xbox 360 games.

Ive started a thread about the play asia release in the bargains forum.

Maybe the rip has been done from an NTSC disc not NTSC/J?

Hence it working?

Either way theres one out there other than PAL that works on PAL systems.

Just played a little single-player, then a friend jumped on for some co-op.

This game is awesome. The environments look so good and the cover system works much better than any other game that has used cover before. Shame I have to clean up the mess the plasterers left yesterday otherwise Id still be playing now.

Im gonna have to try some multiplayer later on and see how that plays out.

What a game! Co-op in this is absolutely the best. Next Gen has arrived! And I am playing it on my 14" portable TV.

this is the best single player game ive ever played. the cover system is a tactic rather than a gimmick. the graphics are great and the sound immersing.

Wow is all i can say, i was stuck in on a warden duty.

Now i am glad i bought a vga adapter, this game is so visually stunning.

The shadows, particles, bloodsplatter.

I want live so much right now
