360 gone from... not so good... to bad.. lol

Well PGR3 keeps locking up but now im getting disc read errors

The game is in MINT condition yet its tried to run it as a DVD Video and shown an "insert in xbox 360" message

and now its just fallen over with a "disc unreadable" message and the game crapped out

lost my place as well

POS tbh iv totally lost confidence in it and might refund it rather than just replace it

replaced the console now.. if this one has issues ill probably refund it and grab a wii or not bother at all

360s have been weird little things - some people have no end of problems with them whilst others have no probs what so ever. I was going to get one this xmas but I think Ill leave it until theyve sorted themselves out.

2 weeks ago mine started locking up on random occasions. This week it started happening all the time (within 5mins of power on). Wednesday it gave me the 3 red lights on boot

After spending an hour on the phone to MS support registering my details, they sent me a UPS collection label...with the wrong sodding details on it. So another 30mins on the phone yesterday and they promised me a new shipping label; its not here yet :s

Im losing faith, fast.

big thumbs up for microsoft when mine went wrong.. ok im ignouring the fact that it shouldnt of gone wrong.

From phone call to console return was 5 working days
Day 1 - ring them and get shipping labels
Day 2 - Collect
Day 3 - Recieved and Testing
Day 4 - On its way back
Day 5 - Plugged in and back to gaming.

mine does lock occasionally. Its not very often so not a huge problem but it has happened a couple of times since I got it at launch. annoying but kind of expected in first batch

More frustrating is they still havent got any really good games out on it yet.

this new one seems far more solid, got a pre owned ratty looking Burnout Revenge and its running it fine and PGR3 hasnt locked up yet either, result!

Most of their hardware products work fine, I have used a natural keyboard for three years and it just works.

Mind keeping their software afloat is like trying to plug a colander.

I think they might have pushed these out the door a bit fast.

I think with the PS3 there are going to be quite a few with disc reading problems. If they are struggling to make the bluray laser diodes the ones that are passing may not be passing by much. :-/
