Title: 6 bit TFT test
Post by: Norphy on April 20, 2006, 10:35:26 AM
A fair old while ago in the old plaice someone posted a link to a bitmap which was a test for 6 bit per colour TFTs. It rendered properly on CRTs and 8 bit per colour panels but got really obviously dithered on 6 bit panels. Can anyone remember the link?

Cheers,

Norphy

Dont worry about the line down the right hand side.

Same here.... completely block free here. except the random dark blue line you mentioned.

Youre not looking for blocks, you are looking for a dithering effect so rather than a smooth gradient that you would see on a monitor you see a sort of banding effect.

no dithering on my monitor either... well its close.

I think there may be dithering, but its inbetween a trick of the light and dust on my monitor.
