today while browsing the internet after 2 3 hour exams.

my macintosh decided to give up the fight in a dramatic fashion.

first the buzzing, hearing a large current arcing inside the case, followed by smoke and then a bang. all the lights in my room went off. and my mac didnt turn on again.

i tried to perform surgery, ripping open its chest, tried to find a loose connector. but nothing.

death confirmed 18:39 hrs gmt.

i am still in shock

brummie

Beaker

get a decent G4 or similar, then run virtual PC.  or alternatively there has been some good sucess with installing OSX over the top of both Ubuntu and FreeBSD.  Take your pick, but If you took that route i wouls say built it up on FreeBSD rather than ubuntu

redneck

i need a native x86 environment to run 3dsmax otherwise it will take weeks watching the render go. i dont want to waste that much of my life watching something render.

i did include a nsfw warning.

i dont control peoples urges to explore the internet neither do i dress them.
