Now Ive used it for ages now as we all have, but I was just wondering what the facts and figures are regarding ADSL.
What do they "do" at the exchange that means your line is ready for ADSL?
What equipment is there to check a line (that is available to consumers) if the fault isnt inside the house?
What are the line limits where ADSL is no longer offered? I mean how far from an exchange do you have to be to be able to get reliable 512k bb?
Also if lightning happens what damage can a line sustain and can it affect the local exchange switch?
Id be mighty impressed if someone could tell me whats what with these questions :D
