Am I right in assuming the Alien Legacy boxset I have does not have the extended special edition of Alien 3? Should I get the Quadrilogy while its cheap?

NB: Fox are bar stewards.

Goblin

You are correct (speaking as someone who has the video boxset, the Legacy boxset and two copies of the Quadrilogy.

If you were super-awesome (and we all know you are) you should pop down to HMV and get the Quadrilogy with the giant Alien head for only Ã,£50. (Hence the reason I now have two copies of the Quadrilogy)
It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

Im super-awesome and would love the head, but I have neither the space nor the money for it :(

Might have to sell something... :?

What else can I look forward to extra in the Quadrilogy that is not in the Legacy set? Is there anything I should keep the Legacy set for?

The quadrilogy DVD set (non head) is like 16.99 at Play.com atm.

The extras are a bit different, though I couldnt give you a side by side comparison. Alien 3 has the original and the extended/reworked cut anyway. I have them both because Im just a big Aliens geek.

Me too, which is why Im going to find a HMV with the head on cheap. Belated birthday treat maybe.

Have a look on DVD Compare

http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/

Gives you the details to DVDs, extras, aspect ratios and what cuts they have.  It also lists the equivalent dvds in different regions so you can find out whats the best version.  Can be quite a useful site really.

I did try that actually, thanks Russell :) Unfortunately its not got the Legacy set discs included in all their parts for some reason.

Well, head versions are sold out at that price everywhere :( Not paying Ã,£90...

Ive ordered from Play (thanks Smugs   ) along with Ong Bak.
