Godammit, blast, nipples, poo, buggeration, France!

My trusty Amiga 1500 has gone down the pan. I think the PSU has blown up.

Im left with these options :

1 - Buy a new PSU - incredibly hard to find and expensive when you find one (unless anyone happens to have a broken machine lying around hope hope!!)

2 - Buy a new Amiga - easier to find but damn pricey

3 - Buy a CDTV unit (expensive but Ive always wanted one!)

Thoughts anyone?  I could just go UAE but I like my kit....

Id love to if I had room. I need a base unit though that I can connect a mouse and keyboard to and then just hide out the way. I have got a 500plus but of course that has the same problem.

Just for consideration though - what have you got with it and how much would you want?

Still love my Amiga!  Sensible Soccer (definitive version), Knights of the Sky, Wings, Carrier Command, and if anyone ever played the CDTV version of Sim City then theyll know how truely stunning that was!!

Dammit now I do want the CDTV version. *Tries  to find spare £100*

Im considering buying a GBA just to play wings again

I dunno, got a lot of [i[demo[/i] games + kick off 2, etc. which is 100000x better than any version of sensi

Its also got a 1gb HDD IIRC

Rivkid

Woo hoo! Got a new PSU for 17 euros delivered off some dude in Belgium! Well chuffed.

Sensible Soccer here we come! (by the way Im ignoring the Kick Off 2 was better comment as thats just pure fantasy in a bottle!) :D

That must have cost you a pretty penny.  ;)

I had a bulging A1200 too.  I fitted a 3.5" 1.2GB HD internally, the A1200 was only ever designed for 2.5"HDs :D  It also had a 40MHz 68040 accelerator and 32mb of 60ns EDO RAM.  PCMCIA network card.  How I loved playing Doom on it when Doom finally got ported.  SWOS, Moonstone, Knights of The Sky, Syndicate, Geoff Crammonds F1 and Frontier: Elite 2, some of my fave games ever.

Serious

And just think we have problems cause our PCs *only* go at 2Ghz...

I think we need a lot of dross removing from the modern OS.
