Looks like theyve just jumped on the gimmick bandwagon with that touch screen photo manipulating tool.  Agreed great idea, well implemented etc but its not that practical really, not for a working environment.

Until they they get the entire star trek multifunctional display/input lark down to a tee anyway, then itll be fun

They are not jumping on the badwagon, MS for a while now has been one of the leads in developing the software for multitouch and been posted on the forums about what they been doing and have been doing for a while now. Having the core of your OS is a good step considering when it will be released and how far things have got already and the fact many more mobile devices now and by 2010 will be multi touch and it seems more lcd displays, notebooks etc will have multi touch displays but 2010.
