Sweenster

we found the party games to be a nightmare to play in a group.

could be the size of the tv or the amount of space we had but some games were just too unresponsive to work well

tbh some of the mini games are turd, some are great. with 50 of them though its bound to be that way.

Ill probably still get it.  That and nightfire were the games of choice at pissups with the mates.

I got a Wii, Super monkey ball and an extra wiimote with wiiplay.  The update took hours though :S

I think I would get one, but I cant get over my own personal cyniciscm - eg Nintendo release the SNES (All the same games as the NES prefixed with super), N64 (Again, but suffixed with 64), GC (I was expecting this to have games with cube stuck in somewhere - like mariocube or megamancube), and now the Wii.

What games can you get? Ive no doubt it will be Mario(wii), metroid(wii), zelda(wii) and im sure there is a megaman(wii) or something on the way...

PLEASE persuade me otherwise!!

Serious

You dont want one honest! ;)

somethings up with your connection then.  Theres been no large updates for the wii yet.

Anyway feedback from Zelda.  The game is awesome but the start of it (firs thour of gameplay is slow as hell as Zelda games usually are).  As soon as you get past the tutorial/storyline bit at the very beginning then the game opens up and is great.

The controller really comes into its own for fishing and shooting with slingshots and bows and arrows.  Im not 100% convinced by the sword fighting aspect of it as its more a case of shaking your hands in sequence than actually hacking and slashing but its very well done and feels more involving than playing on a normal controller.  Its a really nice conversion.

Will get Wii play for xmas and see how that is :)  Still loving it is regularly in my backpack when I go round to mates houses (on request).

Wii play is really only a collection of teeny tiny excercises to get you used to the wii.  cant see myself playing it more than once or twice really, but for a couple of quid its probably worth it.

You Wii-n some you lose some.

Sold my Wii... really couldnt get into it and am not understanding the hype at all...

I must just add, Ive never been a Zelda fan, nor a fan of any of the Nintendo series such as Metroid etc... So the releases over the next year really dont grab my attention.

Im struggling to find games for the 360 that I get on with. But at least with that, theres the potential for loads more.

How much profit did you make?

Pathetic :D

In other news, Ive ordered all the components for my highly ghetto wireles sensor bar.  Its gonna have variable geometry too so I can make it better suited to the 3m wide projector image :D

Cypher

From the sound of things not everyone has picked up their preorders.  Now they have to go back onto general sale.

Its worth checking game and the rest again.
