my connection has been up and down all night. is anyone else having problems?

could it be anything to do with my package getting up graded to 8mb soon? (applied for it last week, eta 1st march)

If your with SKY by any chance I know they are having problems at various exhcanges atm.

I wasnt on the net last night so I cant really say myself.

Im with Tiscali, and it was off all day yesterday, I was pulling my hair out.

but I guess it was somthing to do with my speed upgrade as I turned it on today and now look at my sig  

its still being very flakey but apparently its normal for some stability issues when just chnaging over to adsl MAX for the first week.

this is what the log from the router says:

01.03.2008 16:18:09 **SYN Drop** 66.199.211.245, 16464->> 218.253.238.253, 32785 (from ATM1 Inbound)

that happens every couple of minutes

any idea what it means?

Not entirely sure, I guess its dropping sync to lower/increase the speed depending on the stability of the connection.

Complete guess btw, just reminds me of something I read a few weeks ago,

It could be them testing the line, iirc mine went like that went I went from 2 to "up to 8mb".
