by sitting on it last night in the pub >_<

any way to get it fixed?

You could try to buy a broken one off ebay with a working screen and switch bits over, depending on how handy you are.

Failing that, getting it repaired will probably cost you most of the price of a replacement, thats the way it normally works.

Sam

you could hit yourself hard for being a monkey and then buy a new one.

Holy Luck thats cheap.

Should be a cinch to fit, just pry open your nano, unplug the old one and plug that in.  Theres probably guides somewhere in the internet.

Just be careful when unplugging/plugging in screens.  The connectors are quite fragile and can pull off the circuit board if you tug too hard.  Also some of them are ZIF and have little levers/locking bits that when you lift them then the ribbon cable can slide in or out freely.  In which case just yanking it without releasing the locking bit can ruin it.

sweet. cheers.

if this goes well i might buy some broken ones an fix them to sell on. might be worth a few quid.

If its just the screen then give it a go.

Otherwise Id just buy a new one.
