Title: Benchmarking software - free?
Post by: Tongy on December 30, 2006, 10:06:28 AM
Does anyone know of any good benchmarking software that is available (legitimately) for PCs within Windows or off a bootable CD?

I have used PCMark 2005 and CPUMark 2.1 but neither give you a display of how things compare to other systems of a similar spec. The best I have found on the net is tomshardware which shows you what each CPU can do but doesnt have my processor on it (the core 2 duo E6300) which is strange as alot of people have it...

So anyone that knows of any free system/CPU benching software speak up :D

Cheers
Tongy

IIRC http://www.pcw.co.uk uses one of them, if you go through the reviews and find out which links to their database
