Ive got my home network setup with all my TV and films stored on a NAS server which is on a 108Mbs wireless network.

Whats the best (cheapest and easiest) device to allow me to watch said video on the various TVs around the house?

I dont have the £ to build a HTPC and the only network media players ive seen are around £100+

What do you lot use?

Xbox, Chipped and running xbmc, although youd need to make it wireless.

I was previously using an xbox but ive screwed it up trying to upgrade the softmod. Need to hot-swap the harddrive with another xbox to fix it. This worked well with a wireless access point but I was hoping for a more streamlined solution.

I sold a mediaMPV on here a while back to someone (cant remember who) but i think thats the kind of thing im looking for

Just put a chip in that xbox and be done with it.

Only reason I ditched my Xbox was because it struggled with HD stuff.

I now run a Mac Mini, but the price difference between an Xbox with XBMC and a Mac Mini is insane.

Xbox is all Id recommend to anyone wanting to do 90% of the stuff.

Im quite confused as to how you bodged the Softmod though.
