Boss just signed off budget to get me certified to this - just wondering if theres a better option given Windows 7 and that our firm is going direct from XP to 7 bypassing Vista?

Well chuffed at the sign off btw!!
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!

Nice  :ptu:

If you want the 7 certificate you can use it as an elective towards the Enterprise Admin qualification or just do it on top of the SA and get MCITP: Enterprise Desktop Administrator 7.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Dont forget you can get money off exams -

http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/offers/Career.aspx#certification

15% off 70-640 and 70-642
25% off 70-646

Phew! After months of wrangling and debating this is finally all booked. Studying through Global Knowledge. 4 weeks starting this sunday - 3 weeks in Wokingham and 1 week in Leeds. Really looking forward to it!

Think the plan is to get this then look at moving up to Enterprise Administrator.

Ive been assured that this will have a positive effect at the next pay review so determined to get it done. Its been on the cards for 3 years now so to have the PO in front of me is ace - theyre finally investing in me! :)

Hoping this will be the catalyst that really starts to propell my career.

I might be wrong on that - check. Nice one on getting the ok for the certs  :ptu:

I passed the 70-648 a few weeks back and it was easy as pie, playschool stuff mostly.

Sliding scale - it drops by % until 2 years when its null. Not concerned though - my plans here are fairly long term at the minute.

Also means your job security is fairly well set for the next couple of years - more if you keep rolling the exams forward. Nice in this climate - Congrats
