Title: Black DS Lite
Post by: Chanser on June 26, 2006, 21:58:35 PM
Bought a Black DS Lite, took me 3 tries to get one without dead pixels or stuck pixels.

The 2nd one is going back for a refund.

I got a white one yesterday, no probs with pixels :)

Beehocle sees it, she gets one today, no probs with pixels :)

There is a massive difference when you compare them directly to the older DS the screen is superb in comparison, and the buttons, despite me being sceptical are better due to being a completely different type.

My old warhorse is on the bay if anyone wants it 8)

Hey Matt, your old ds on ebay, what do you mean by flashed? Like new firmware? And this is may sound extremely DUMB, but i had no idea the ds took an sd lol, or does it?

You can get attachments for the GBA slot which will let you put expansion cards into them, originally for mp3 players and such, can be used to flash firmware.

Flashed firmware offers lots of advantages (including the ability to flashback). But some people are skeptical to flash their DS as they think when the Wii comes out, it will include anti-flash stuff that will brick your flashed ds if you try to use it with a Wii.

The original on ebay has just got a different firmware flashed to it so it boots straight to the GBA slot so you can run homebrew off the supercard.

The one above is running on a superkey that boots to the GBA slot, in which is a SuperCard Lite that uses microsd/transflash. The original firmware is totally untouched.

The supercards in in the above pic matey, its just the transflash/microsd card thats not, and that fits inside too.
