my knighty1.com domain has dissapeared.... but ukreg say its taken....
any ideas anyone ?

The fact that people have been posting porn for months on the support forums kind if showed that for many things were going down hill.
The rumour that it was sold on and the repeated hacking of peoples sites and due to lack of software updates etc seemed the new people were milking the money they could before shutting it down and selling the stuff, common practise that for gits.
Think many of us have already jumped ship by now, I do not know about your stuff m8, will suck if it is gone
Do not know what to say to try and help, they did it to steve with a domain and basically sold it on as soon as it was up for renewal without even telling him.
im already registered on ukreg to get the domain as soon as its avalible
had some help via msn and Ive emailed the reseller that they used to get my domain back :)

Get a yahoo one and email everyone on your list telling them that its blown up in your face.

would be worth considering notifying trading standards in this case knighty. They have effectively denied you a service for which you have paid for.
At least let them know of your complaint against them, that way if they already have a case file your voice will be added to the stack of evidence against them.

Yup bluguy took one of my high traffic domains and resold it without telling me the expiry was due etc.
There forum systems are stuffed full of porn and links to viruses.
2-3 of mine and friends sites on their systems have been hacked and replaced with other things (they knew they were being hacked and all the sites were being wiped but did nothing to stop it). I lost some very important databases including forums and a rewards point system that caused me and my friends a lot of problems.
They simply arent billing people.
Theyre issuing statements to say youre hundreds of times over your bandwidth limits to try and get you to upgrade packages even though its impossible to generate that much traffic.
etc etc.
If you still have anything with them get it out now. I switched over to godaddy hosting a while back and its nice to deal with professionals again. Whoever the hell bought the company after Olly vanished has ran it into the ground.

where im working now BT where asked to price up for some of the new infrastructure. They specced the backbone out in 1000Base UTP. The little local independany firm that they got in specced it in either FO or 10Gb over Copper, the eventual choice being the Backbone with the 10Gb with the SAN and Server Room done in Fibre. That seemed sensible, i couldnt understand how BT would come up with such a crappy spec.
