I mean an old style desktop case rather than a tower case.
Would mean I don't have to put it on it's side when I want to do anything inside and the graphic card/HSF won't stress the motherboard.
Have you tried Silverstone? Not sure what your budget is but I'm sure they still make desktop style cases.
SilverStone Grandia SST-GD08B does look like an option. £137.88 is a little more than I would have liked but it's a home cinema case.
Now to find some guts to go into it. Already have a spare 1TB Crucial SSD. Some form of Nvidea GeForce 2070, AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Gen2 or 7 2700X Gen2 and 16GB memory. Decent starting point?
full atx or could you use an mATX board?
I would prefer a full ATX merely for the room to do stuff in the case. I have had mATX before but the case does get tight. Drive bays I really just need a couple of 5.25and a 3.5. One 5.25 is going to get a home for up to 4 X SSDs.

theres a few here but maybe too small for you, theres a couple of b grade items that might save a few £££ too
OK, decided to do something completely different - 4U rack mount case.
Yes, totally mad. But there is method in it.

Case arrived. Heavy duty steel. No instructions of course, as if I need them. Chocolate fireguard lock - better than nothing.
Think it will do.
Waited so long the next gen AMD should be shipping in a few months...
