Use base defences, tower machine guns for the troops and normal guns for the flame tanks. Put your infantry into personnel carriers so they wont get burned. Best to use missile troops to give all round performance.


on the docks one expand north so you can get to the second area of tiberium.

thats the ones in egypt, Im stuck on the ones in sarejevo (sp?). The one where you have to hold the base till the mcv arrives but you have limited power, so can only have half the defences turned on at once...

move into the top right and steal that base with engeneers... its a piece of cake after that

Ah that mission, quite a challenge. Basically juggle your base defences (turn off either the barracks or war factory or both if you dont need any units).

I would get some units to the top left of the map ASAP, try and destroy as many buildings as you can which will stop the NOD from creating a little tunnel of death for your MCV.

Regarding base defence, for the west/southern sides get a couple of mini gunners to dig in, theyll soon get fully promoted and will own any troops that come within range, leaving you free to worry about the north/east sides.

Once you have the MCV back safe and sound build more base defences so you can leave your base unattended for a few minutes at a time. Past that, its a normal mission.

ahh, now i think about it.....

I took over the base in the top right, meanuing I could build all the nod buildings and had plenty of power etc...

then I totaly destroyes the nod base in the bottom left corner...

after that I took out the stuff hlding the mcv back, then sat back and watched it drive back to my base un-challanged

(i kind of like overkill)

Good news for 360 owners.

I did that croatia mission (defending GDI base) slightly differently, instead of juggling power I focused on units and used predator tanks and infanty to defend.  

Infanty allways comes from the south west, armour comes from the east.

Finished the GDI missions on normal - without using the tiberium bomb

Had to rebuild my base almost completely three times

But got rid of Nod and then attacked north from where the aliens super weapon was using heavy AA and machine gun emplacements to back up a load of heavy tanks and a dozen troop carriers with rocket launcher men in.

A couple of dozen AA emplacements certainly kept the scrin airforce in check. :mrgreen:

TBH there are a couple of other nasty missions too, going for the Nod temple at Sarajevo being one.

same here, but now I wish id saved it just before I finished just to see what would have happend if I had used it !

I got both endings for GDI, but can only find 1 ending for the Scrin/Nod, and theyre both pants.  :cry:

I must say Im astounded at the graphical difference between medium and high.  I thought it looked good running on my geforce 4.  I let my bro play on it for a bit which I think I put a 7600 in his rig at the time.  

I must say Im quite astounded with the high qualirty textures and the simple but effective effects such as the heated air from aircraft.

played it on the xb360 the other day, only the 2 demo missions, the graphics are amazing, alot better than my pc can run it.

unfortunatly tho, the controls are so awkward and slow to use then I dont think ill be getting it
